 Colonial Williamsburg Visit the Governor's Palace, the Powder Magazine, the Capitol and many other 18th century buildings in the restored colonial town. There are 88 original buildings you can visit, over 100 acres of gardens and 40 different activities. Colonial Williamsburg is open every day of the year and tickets are available in our lobby or at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center, which is only 3/4 mile from the Ramada Inn 1776!

18th Century Plantations Berkeley, James River and Shirley Plantations are all on Rt. 5 approximately 15 miles from Ramada Inn 1776. Carter's Grove is located on Rt. 60 East.
 Jamestown Located only 10 Miles from Ramada Inn 1776 on the Colonial Parkway is the first permanent English settlement in America. Jamestown features an early settlers' fort, authentically reconstructed, as well as full-scale replicas of the ships that brought the pioneers to America.
 Yorktown Yorktown is located 12 miles from Ramada Inn 1776 on the Colonial Parkway. It is home of the Victory Center, which has a fascinating display of museum artifacts of the Revolutionary War. Visitors can walk through the battlefield where the British surrendered to the Revolutionary troops.
 Busch Gardens This theme park is located on Route 60 East, four miles from the Ramada Inn 1776. The amusement park is designed around six countries and offers entertainment, rides and food. Nearby Anheuser-Busch Brewery is also open to the public.
College of William and Mary Located on Richmond Road in Williamsburg, this school was attended by Thomas Jefferson and many other presidents. It was granted a charter by King William and Queen Mary in 1693. The Wren Building on the campus is the oldest academic building in continuous use in the United States.
Shopping Williamsburg and vicinity are sprinkled with shops of every kind. Exploring them is an exciting pastime. Schedule a visit to the one-of-a-kind Williamsburg Pottery Factory, wear your walking shoes. There are scores of shops in 130 acres, all filled with bargains from most countries in the world. The Pottery is located on Rt. 60 West, approximately five miles from Ramada Inn 1776. The Outlet Malls are located 1/2 mile east of the Pottery and feature 75 factory discount shops.
